What BB Desk and the BB Desk Sync extension do with your data
BB Desk is a dashboard for DraftKings best-ball drafts. The BB Desk Sync extension and the Sync to BB Desk bookmark move your own drafts from DraftKings into it. This page says what is read, what BB Desk stores, and what is never collected.
What is read from DraftKings
- While you are signed in to draftkings.com: your list of entered best-ball contests, each draft's picks, each league's standings, and the current player prices.
- Your existing DraftKings sign-in is used. BB Desk never sees or stores your DraftKings password.
What BB Desk stores
Using BB Desk means the drafts you load are stored by BB Desk. You are asked to agree before anything is sent.
- Your rosters. For each completed draft: the contest name, entry fee, draft date and time, your draft seat, your twenty picks with the price of each, and the roster's league place and points. The points of the other teams in the league are stored as numbers, without names.
- A random ID created in your browser, so rosters loaded from the same browser can be grouped. It is not your name, email or DraftKings username.
- Your account, if you create one. Your email address, and your rosters, draft boards and standings, so you can open them from another browser. Rosters you load while signed in are linked to your account.
- Anonymous usage statistics. Events such as a visit, a sync starting or finishing, or a section being opened, with your browser type and roughly how many drafts are loaded. These are tied to the random ID, not to you. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, no usage statistics are recorded.
How it is used
- To show you your own dashboard.
- To analyse drafts across everyone who uses BB Desk, for example how often players are drafted and how different roster builds perform, and to improve BB Desk.
- It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
What is never collected
Your DraftKings username, password or payment details. The names of other people in your leagues. Your browsing history, or anything from sites other than draftkings.com and BB Desk. No advertising or tracking cookies are set.
Where it is kept
- In your browser, so the dashboard opens without syncing again.
- In BB Desk's database, hosted by Supabase. Your own account data can be read only by you. Shared rosters and usage statistics can be written from the site and read only by BB Desk.
Your choices
- If you do not agree to your drafts being stored, choose Decline when asked. Your drafts are then cleared from the browser and nothing is sent.
- Clear all data in the menu removes your drafts from the browser and, if you are signed in, from your account.
- To have rosters you have already shared deleted, contact us using the details on the BB Desk Sync listing in the Chrome Web Store.
Permissions the extension asks for
- draftkings.com: to read your contests with your sign-in, and so a sync can run without a DraftKings tab open.
- Storage: to keep the last sync on this device, so later syncs only fetch what is new.
The extension itself sends your drafts only to the BB Desk page open in your browser. BB Desk then stores them as described above.
